Flooring That Does Not Dent Under Heavy Furniture Piano Refrigerator
Heavy furniture leaves permanent marks on many flooring types. A grand piano can weigh 500 to 1000 pounds. A refrigerator can weigh 300 pounds. A filled bookshelf can weigh several hundred pounds. The weight concentrates on small feet or casters and presses into the floor.
Why SPC Dents
SPC flooring uses a stone plastic composite core. The stone powder gives it weight and stability. But the PVC content means the core can compress under sustained heavy loads.
Over time, furniture legs sink into the surface. The indentation becomes permanent. Once the mark is there, it does not recover.
Why Laminate Dents
Laminate uses an HDF core made from compressed wood fibers. Under heavy loads, the fibers compress and do not spring back. The result is the same as SPC: permanent indentations.
Why MFB Does Not Dent
MFB uses a mineral fiber core. The mineral fibers do not compress under load. The core maintains its shape even under sustained heavy weight.
In indentation testing, MFB shows significantly less permanent deformation than SPC or laminate under the same load conditions.
This means heavy furniture, pianos, refrigerators, and bookshelves leave no marks on an MFB floor. No need for coasters. No need for plywood sheets under heavy items. No worry about furniture rearrangements.
