What Is SWF Flooring Commercial Fire Rated Rigid Core Guide

SWF stands for Super Waterproof and Fireproof. It is a rigid core flooring product designed specifically for commercial and public building applications where fire safety is required. SWF achieves A level fire classification while maintaining waterproof performance.

Core Technology

SWF uses advanced core technology that meets two requirements that are difficult to combine. Fire rated materials often absorb moisture. Waterproof materials often burn. SWF solves both.

The core is engineered to achieve A level fire rating while remaining waterproof. This makes SWF suitable for commercial kitchens, hospital corridors, school hallways, and other public spaces where both fire safety and moisture resistance are required.

A Level Fire Classification

A level is the highest fire rating for building materials. Materials with A level classification do not contribute to fire spread. SWF has been tested and certified to meet this classification.

For commercial projects, building codes typically require fire rated flooring in exit corridors, public areas, and spaces with higher fire risk. SWF meets these code requirements.

Installation Method

SWF uses standard click lock installation, the same as other rigid core flooring products. No glue or adhesive is required. The planks lock together mechanically. Standard installation practices for click lock flooring apply.

Project Applications

SWF is suitable for:

- Hospital and healthcare facilities

- School and educational buildings

- Hotel and hospitality projects

- Office and commercial spaces

- Retail and public areas

- Commercial kitchens and food service
